20161204 - A quick Visit to Tokyo
We are so grateful to God that we surpassed 2016. It is by God's grace and provision that thru our job we were able to afford rest and vacation. Yes, The Lord loves Rest. In the Bible it was clearly stated on Genesis 2: 2-3.
Believe it or not we started 2016 with only 30SGD in our account a week prior to the payday.
This trip to Japan was originally planned December 2015, to celebrate our 5th year wedding anniversary but because we lost our job during that year, it was delayed. And yes having an OC wife she felt frustrated, might be even devastated to her.
But the Lord has always its own mind and explanation why there are things that are meant to happen. And yes, He is good because while we are in that season of waiting and picking up the broken pieces of that shattered dream revelations were made visible to us and comforted us.
I can't drag this too long for you to witness this awesome adventure and beauty of God's work in this country.
Aboard Skyliner Express from Narita to City of Tokyo
Since we arrived early and our check-in time in the flat that we booked is at 1:00pm, with our luggage we roam around..
First stop is the popular Icho Namiki ginkgo lined avenue. The uniquely trimmed trees is just perfect in yellow color leaves during Autumn season.
Food in Japan is one of the best but of course it is not cheap. he he he. :) During our first night we dine at #kamukura in Shibuya.
The Vendo machine in Japan is extra ordinary because you can find it everywhere. Every block i should say. So while waiting for our laundry we decided to have a coffee from a Vendo and it's hot with a straw. :)
Sunday, and we decided to attend a service in Every Nation Church Shibuya.. we've met some Filipinos who are active in serving the ministry... Definitely it can be a Faith goal to visit Every Nation over the world.
A visit in Tokyo is not complete if you will not visit #hachiko statue in Shibuya and the Shibuya crossing.
roaming and walking without having to try a local coffee shop is not complete either , and picture picture of course ...
Visited Koishikawa Garden at 300 yen entrance fee. Some shrine the Asakusa Shrine and the taste of local food in the street and resto
Just roaming around in the cold weather of Japan.
Here is the Ueno Area. The beauty of Omotesando Hills.
Shinjuku Train Station : Is the world's busiest train station in terms of passenger throughput
On our last way we had a chance to meet Freddie, a high school classmate of mine who lives in Japan. He brought us to visit #Odaiba where you can see the #rainbowbridge.
Time to fly back to our working place, 3 days in Japan is not enough but we enjoyed it.
Everything happens for a reason, back in 2015 when we lost our job, it seems everything stops, and it is then when our Faith was really tested when you have nothing but only the Lord. He is the only one that can supply us food to eat and a job to provide for the family. Whether you had the best credentials to qualify if it is not the Lord that provides it will never be yours.
Faith and Trust in Him to be back on track. To God be the glory.
